As an opportunity to redesign one of my employer’s London offices— we acted as both contractors and clients. The goal was to combine two locations into one workspace for over 55 staff, improving teamwork, cutting costs, and creating a more efficient space.

We started with a staff survey, which highlighted the need for natural light, quiet zones, flexible workspaces, and better parking. The new layout spans two floors: a collaborative ground floor with desking, meeting and breakout areas, and a quieter upper level for focused work and senior teams. We removed internal partitions and cut storage by 40% to open up and brighten the space. Other works included redesigning the on-site workshop—reception, kitchen, restroom—and modifying the parking area to increase capacity for fleet and cars.

Designing for our own team was both rewarding and challenging, resulting in a space that reflects our values and brand identity. Sustainability was a key focus—we reused existing items and incorporated refurbished furniture from our own workshop.
