Located in the open fields of Hampshire, UK, this site—consisting of two bungalows—offered a unique chance to create an eco-conscious home with a relaxed, rule-free aesthetic.

Originally in poor condition, the two annexes were reinforced, refurbished, and connected into a single, unified home. Designed to meet Passivhaus and BREEAM standards, the house focuses on insulation, renewable energy, and efficient heating and ventilation to cut energy use and bills by up to 70%. Features include cellulose insulation, triple glazing, a ground source heat pump, underfloor heating, solar panels, MVHR and rainwater recycling systems.

The interior blends sustainable values with an eclectic style, using refurbished and salvaged items alongside antiques, locally sourced furniture, souvenirs, and artwork. This creates a warm, personal, and character-filled space inspired by cultures and places from around the world.
